The Launch Kit adds an extra level of chaos and excite to Anki OVERDRIVE. Here are some hints to give the cars a better chance of a successful jump.
Attach a straight piece before the jump. Supercars need speed to clear the gap. Put a straight piece before your jump to give you more time to accelerate. For best performance, keep your Start Piece far away from the jump for even more room to accelerate.
Setup the Launch Kit properly. The Launch Kit comes with a jump track piece, a landing track piece and three risers. On each track piece, white icons designate where the risers should be attached to form the perfect jump. If the risers set properly and you find that Supercars are landing and bouncing off the track, try adjusting the placement of the risers. Often, you can find a sweet spot that provides more cushioning as the Supercars land.
Aim for the middle of the track. When you approach the jump, try and steer your Supercar to the middle of the track before taking the jump. This will increase your chance of a successful landing, and put you in a better position to engage or speed past your opponent.
Choose the right car for the job. Every Supercar is different, and some jump more easily than others. Skull and Thermo are skilled jumpers, while other Supercars like Big Bang are more of a challenge.
Clean the track. Use a lint free or microfiber cloth to clean the track. Dry Swiffer sheets also work great for removing unwanted dust on the track.
Clean the rear tires on the car. Use the included tire cleaning pad and remove any build up of dust from the rear tires. This will allow the Supercar to stick to the track better. Remember to clean the rear tires often.
Clean the tire cleaning pad. Rub the sticky part of the tire cleaning pad with your finger while holding it under cool running water. Let the tire cleaning pad air dry before using it to clean the rear tires.
