In which countries will Vector be available?
Vector is launching in the US, Canada, UK, Australia, and New Zealand. We’re exploring additional markets in the future.
Is there a limit to the number of Vectors I can order?
To ensure Vector is available to as many customers as possible, we are limiting all pre-orders to two Vectors per UK household.
When will I get charged for my Anki.com pre-order?
You will get charged at the time of pre-ordering Vector. If you pre-ordered your Vector before 30/09/2018 it should arrive on 09/10/2018.
What is your return policy?
We accept returns for products purchased from Anki.com within 14 days of shipment date. For more information please visit https://www.anki.com/en-gb/company/returns-warranty
What is Vector's warranty?
Vector is covered by a 12-month Anki.com warranty. For warranty terms, please see: https://www.anki.com/en-gb/company/returns-warranty (click "warranty" tab). Our warranty period begins on the date on which your Vector is shipped.
Where do you ship?
We use UPS to ship to UK mainland addresses. Anki.com does not support shipments to hotels/temporary housing, P.O. Boxes, or Freight Forwarders.
When will I receive my Vector shipment?
Once you’ve placed a pre-order for Vector on anki.com by 30th September 2018, your Vector should arrive on 9th October 2018 to UK mainland addresses (Channel Islands not supported).
When can I download the Vector app?
We anticipate that the Vector app will be available by the time pre-orders ship, but please note that actual availability is determined by the Apple App Store, Google Play Store, and Amazon Appstore respectively.
What are the minimum requirements?
- Compatible Mobile Device (Android, iOS, Kindle) for initial setup
- Internet-connected 802.11n 2.4GHz Wireless Router
- Anki Account
- Valid email account
- USB Power Adapter (Not included): 5V, 1A or greater
Why does Vector require an internet connection?
Several of Vector's advanced features require processing information remotely, including "Ask Vector".
Will Vector work without a WiFi connection?
Vector needs to be to connected to the cloud for optimal experience as it allows him to understand voice commands from his owners. The experience without WiFi will be very limited and not something we recommend. If Vector ever encounters WiFi issues, he'll let you know in his own emotive way.
Why is an Anki account mandatory with Vector?
Anki Account authentication ensures your Vector is properly secured. Please see the Vector and Privacy article for more information.
Where should Vector be used?
Vector is designed for home use. He's not optimised for complicated network logins that may be required by corporate, hotel, or academic networks, nor can he be configured with proxies.
Which languages/territories are supported in the Vector App?
At launch, the Vector app and Vector voice commands are English-only. The Vector app is only available for download in the US, UK, New Zealand, Canada, and Australia.
How often will I have to use Vector's app?
The Vector app is required to set up Vector for the first time. The Vector app will offer to show you how to communicate with Vector, which we recommend you complete. Otherwise, it is not necessary to use the Vector app unless prompted by Vector.
Does Vector have Amazon Alexa and Google Assistant integration?
Vector has its own personality and smarts. We're considering Alexa, Google Assistant and other integrations as future features.
Can Vector recognise and interact with another Vector?
Not yet. For now, we're focused on the emotional bond that Vector builds with his human owners.
